Since the beginning of mankind people have had the desire to move faster. This wish found its way into legends about the so called seven miles boots. Seven miles boots would allow the wearer to take great stides – seven miles a step – resulting in great speed. The achievement of such rapid strides suggests using the potential of jumping.
The Speedfeet are primarly made for urban terrain. The springs are retractable on a rail, allowing for both jumping and walking. The design is based on strengthening the gastrocnemius muscle (lower leg muscle). The hard, outer shell gives stability and support for jumping, while the soft inner shell facilitates ease of motion.
