In order to fight ethnic discrimination and promote social integration we focused on the work environment.
Ethnic issues are related to a persons geographical origin, beliefs and customs. Integration within new society happens primarily at the workspace.
Unfortunately, the last name and origin of someone can be an obstacle in obtaining a desired job. Applications are often filtered regarding
someones cultural background.
Although “positive” discrimination is a reoccurring method to include minorities, it still takes people’s place of birth into account.
Therefore, the idea of a “nameless” job portal would exclude any kind of ethnic discrimination whatsoever to all users: all applications are
anonymous, geographical and religious information is omitted. Only the relevant qualities would be visible: skills, portfolio, motivations, interests and personality should be the key elements to promoting oneself.
The “nameless portal” would fight discrimination by focusing on objective and work related facts.
