Five nominations and three times first prize at the Createch Competition for traffic-technology and creative industries!
Projects of students at the ID2-department won in three out of five categories at the first Createch ideas competition of the Austrian Ministery of Traffic, Innovation and Technology.
From the 6th to the 17th of September, 28 students, two staff members and Professor Esslinger are on a field trip to Japan. Hartmut Esslingers excellent connections to the Japanese design scene is delivering us an insight into companies like Toyota, Panasonic and Yamaha. The “Digital Football Pitch” will help to avoid crucial problems of the referees’ decision-making in professional football (soccer) played by FIFA rules. Published in time for the UEFA Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland, it quickly gained international media attention, which was additionally raised by very controversial calls by some referees during the championship tournament.

This highly sucessful brand is starting to become as big in Europe as they are in the USA. An exciting lecture about design, marketing and brand communication.
